Show Off

There has been an unexpected bonus to homeschooling Phi.

Louie is now the smartest 3 year old I know.

Last week went to market night. We were looking at an artist's booth and noticed that there were a lot of different moons in his paintings. Louie noticed this too and began going to the different paintings and telling us which moon it was. She would point her little finger and say things like " waning gibbous, first quarter, waxing crescent".

And she got them all right.

There was another lady in the booth and her jaw was on the floor. I mean this little (kinda weird) kid was a little expert on phases of the moon.

this is what she insisted on wearing to market night.
I guess the glasses do make her look smarter.
See Louie goes to the weekly classes with Joey and Phi. She gets to participate in any activity they do. When its time to sit in a circle and listen to the next chapter of Mr. Popper's Penguins, Louie is right there. We didn't think much of it until we realized that she actually retaining stuff. She was cracking my Pops up once with all her talk about ecosystems and habitats.

Of course this is awesome. Louie is learning so much! But I have looked into the future and see the downside to this...

Louie is going to think 3rd is the mosting boring thing ever. I can guarantee that this time in 2019 I will be blogging about how much Louie hates school.  I can hear it already.....

"I already know this stuff MOM!!!"
