Santa Barbara Day 1

As a last big trip before school starts and I go back to work I packed up the girls and we headed to Santa Barbara for a week. We left late Friday afternoon and spent a fun filled week with my family. On Saturday we headed over to Goleta beach to take a walk on the pier. We put Lou in the baby carrier and walked. The weather was spectacular. The pier was filled with people fishing and enjoying the day. In the background my alma mater UCSB. When I lived in Santa Barbara I spent a lot of time at Goleta Beach. My cousin Patty and I would go for daily walks, Hermanas Unidas had a few events there, Crissy and I enjoyed many nice lunches at Beach Side Cafe. I would often spend my lunch hour there. It was nice to take my girls to a place that held so many good memories for me.

After our walk in the pier and beach we met up with my brother Tommy and had a nice dinner at Pastavino in Goleta. Tom had his usual seafood linguine and Uh-laine and I had the lobster ravioli (So good) while The Phi had pizza. It was a nice and mellow start of our vacation.
