Dirt Road Diary: 2014 Recap

2014 was a fantastic year for our tribe. Adventure was the theme of the year. Back in January Joey went down to San Diego and bought a Landcruiser. To say I was not happy is an understatement. I was pissed. As it pains me to admit it now, turns out it was the best thing he has ever purchased for the family. Thanks to our Cruiser and to our little offroading crew we have gone on 10 mind blowing adventures. All day trips and all family affairs. Driving long dirt roads is almost therapeutic. Blaring the music and being together without a care is good for my soul. I saw parts of California that not many get to see. I was in awe of the simple beauty all around us. I was thrilled to watch my kids run, play, climb rocks and explore nature. We made memories that will last Joey and I a lifetime. And we hope we are helping to instill in our girls a sense of adventure and a love for travel and nature.

I am so grateful to Matt and the work he puts into planning out our trips. Thanks for always attempting to have a plan. Every single trip as been unbelievable. They have been experiences that none of us will ever forget.

We have big plans for 2015 I cannot wait to see where we go.

  1. "To say I was not happy is an understatement. I was pissed." Talk about a double understatement!!!

Hitler was rather un-fond of the Jewish faith.
Axl Rose could be slightly difficult at times.
    Matt's beard is amazing.
Matt: Hey Joey, what did you think of that? Joey: It was ok.

These are all excellent examples of understatements. Yours was on the next level. ;)
