Dirt Road Diary: The Land Cruisers go to the South Side

and yes I changed the name to a Luke Bryan song. The obsession is still going strong

After spending a Sunday afternoon putting new tires on the Land Cruiser we all piled in the cruisers and headed out to the south side of town to test them out.

And by test them out I mean try out any little obstacle we could find.

I was out of the car for this one. I have to admit these are fun but I still get a bit nervous. Phi is the exact same way as me. She is a little nervous one. Louie is like her Poppa. Sitting in the back with her hands up living it up.

I have no idea how the guys know where these places are but they do.

Headed up to the top of a plateau for some incredible views.

He is 4 months old and already tired of a camera in his face.

A very rare family picture with all 4 of us.

Seriously.... this is just outside of town. It actually looks pretty damn beautiful from here.

As we drove the dirt roads we spotted this. We hope she said yes.

The area is still recovering from a fire and the juxtaposition of the dead black burnt trees with new green growth was so pretty.

We found a couple of dried out ponds. And of course some trash left behind from people doing target practice.

This is my favorite show and I could watch it all day.

I swear these 2.....

This little impromptu off-roading trip was so much fun. Close to home so no packing necessary. We literally just threw the kids in the car and drove.

The guys were in a band called My 2 Dads, I think this would make a great album cover. But seriously.... mountains for days.

This is what you get when you ask Joey to pose....

Another great off-roading adventure. Already looking forward to the next one.
