The Power of a Date Night

On Sunday night we had some plans that fell through. We had already set up a sitter for the kids so instead of just staying home we decided to go ahead and go out. Just the 2 of us.

It was a simple dinner and a movie date. But we got to eat food the kids would never want to eat.

And we got to see a movie that was not animated.

And we got to hold hands and walk with our arms around each other and Joey even open the car door for me. Just like he always use to do. It's amazing what things kind of things stop when you have 2 kids with you. It's amazing how just a few short hours can make you feel so good and give you a chance to stop and concentrate on one another and only one another.

Joey is still the best date ever. I hope this year we are able to go out on a date night more often.
