San Juan Capistrano Mission

Last week we took a field trip to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. This was the first time there for all of us and man was it awesome. Such a gorgeous mission with a great history.

Stunning right? We did the audio tour and learned all about how it was settled, what kinds of things were made there ( its where the first wine vineyard in California was!) and about the devastating earthquake that left the mission in ruins!

Louie was so very excited about everything. Especially benches.

After our tour the kids got to hear some more about how the mission was built and even got to make their very own adobe bricks!

And because our kids have to get their wackiness from somewhere....
