Touch and Go by Lisa Gardner- Book Review

"This is a paid review for BlogHer Book Club but the opinions expressed are my own."

I read a lot, but I rarely read suspense type novels. I thought that reading this book would be a challenge for me. It ended up being a wild ride! A real nail bitter of a book.

How would you handle a kidnapping? Who would you turn to? Who would you trust?  The story is about the Denbe Family. A wealthy family who from the outside look like they have it all. At closer look we see that this family is filled with secrets and major issues.

One night, after returning from a date night, the entire Denbe family is kidnapped. Who would take them and why? Is it about ransom money, or something more?

I loved the way the book is told through different perspectives. The chapters jump from the perspective of Tessa Leoni, a private investigator hired by Denbe Construction to find the family, to the perspective of Libby Denbe, the wife and mother who has been kidnapped. As the family fights to survive this horrific ordeal they are forced to really look at their family and dive into their deep dark secrets.

This book was so good that I found it hard to put down. The bonus is that I found a whole new world of suspense thriller books and a great author to read!

  1. I've read some of her other books after reading this one for BHBC, and they are just as good. I'm on the one about Tessa now :)
