I get my book recommendations from movie trailers now

Now that Lou has been allowed into the playroom she spends a lot of time in there playing. And to Lou, playing is basically taking everything out of it's place and leaving it on the floor. This means that I have to clean up a lot more at night, but it also means that I have more time to read during the day. Also reading bonus! I can read my kindle in the car without getting super queasy.

The last book I read was super good and recommended to me by a movie trailer. I saw the movie trailer for the new George Clooney movie and thought, "wow that would be a good book to read". So I checked on Amazon and of course it was a book before it was a movie. So I downloaded "The Descendants" by Kaui Hart Hemmings onto my Kindle and I devoured it in about 3 days.

So what would you do if your significant other is in am irreversible coma and due to their will they are being taken off of all life support? You are gathering her friends and family to say their goodbyes. During this time you find out that your significant other was not only having an affair, but planning and working towards a new life without you. How would you react? This is what happens to Matt King, a descendant of Hawaiian royalty. With his 2 daughter and Sid by his side Matt King island hops to find this man and give him the opportunity to say good-bye. The relationship between Matt and his daughters is so dysfunctional and so real. It made me smile and it made me cry. The book is set in Hawaii and I must warn you, it will make you want to buy a plane ticket and head to the islands.

Now that I have read the book, I am ready to see the movie. Maybe over Thanksgiving weekend at my parents Joey and I can sneak out of the house and head to a theater. Think my Mom and Pops will notice if we just leave the kids at their house?

Now like with all good books. It ended way too soon and now I am left scrambling to find something good to read.
