I Madonnari

Evey Memorial Day weekend at the Santa Barbara Mission the I Madonnari festival and fundraiser takes place. Local businesses buy space and hire a artist and make amazingly beautiful chalk painting.

First we headed to the side of the Mission where they had small 2x2 squares and chalk for sale for kids.


We bought The Phi a square and she went to town...



Of course working with chalk will leave any artist a bit dirty. After we let the kids create we walked over to see the professionals at work.


Amazing right?

The best part? All of us together.
