Say Hello to my Little Friend

See that picture over there. Yes it is 2 pounds of ground oatmeal. (Ipod there for size comparison and to be a total show off because I have a cool ipod touch. And yes I know the paper towel roll is empty, but damnit people I was not the one who used the last one!) This summer heat and all the A/C really makes The Phi's skin rash out like crazy. I made an emergency trip to the store to buy anything and everything that might help relieve her itching red skin. I sometimes put oatmeal in her baths to help soothe her skin, but this time her rashes have been so bad that I bought the biggest canister I could find. So I spent a good 20 minutes with my trusty coffee bean grinder that now has become my oatmeal grinder. As a scooped up all the (off) white powder back into the canister I had to fight the urge to bury my face in the powder and in a very bad Cuban accent quote Scarface.

  1. I thought I was the only one who ground my own oatmeal for an oatmeal bath!

  2. Oooh, I loves me some oatmeal bath. PS: Go to Taget right now, this very second, and buy yourself a mini-cuisinart. They're, like, $30 and the greatest invention in the history of mankind. As in, better than the wheel and chocolate truffles COMBINED. Not only can you grind oats in 5 seconds flat, you can make a vinaigrette that will knock your socks off.
