Hair, Hair its everywhere

Hair, originally uploaded by Punk Rock Mom.

It is our gift and our curse. My sisters and I all have tons and tons of hair. When we were little people would always comment on how pretty our hair was, and even til this day when I get a hair cut the hair stylist will always comment on how much hair I have. The Phi does not have hair as thick as mine (thank the lord above) but she still has a lot of it. I mean how many 2 year olds do you know with this much hair? I love how long its getting and we have never even thought about cutting it. I love how wild and curly it is because it matches her personality. But there is the curse part. See the blotchy face and red around her eyes. This is the daily battle we have when it comes to combing her hair. I have to spray detangler all over it just to get a brush through it. Then there is the parting and rubber bands. It takes twice as long as it should because of all her crying and moving around. I have yet to perfected the part. My Mom is seriously world champ at the hair parts.

  3. I had the same problem with my kids. The screaming, the crying and then there was them.. LOL

Seriously tho, I did have the same exact problem with my girls and I wish I could offer you some words of wisdom and tell you that it gets better in time but I would just be lying and well, I wouldn't want to get your hopes up and then watch those hopes get shattered. As Anon said.. Lots and lots of conditioner. There is a product for big people that works wonders on tangles.. it is called Pure Shine spray on Luminator. I use it daily for my wild hair and both my girls use it too and I thank god everyday that I have it. Maybe it would work on the Phi's hair? Wouldn't hurt to try it eh?

have you tried braiding it the night before? I do that with my wild mane so it's easier to brush through in the morning. Oh, thanks for the birthday card! -jdub
