Grandparents Day 2012

It seems like they have been practicing for this day since the first day of school. There were a lot of patriotic songs to learn and arts and craft projects to do. Most day when I ask The Phi how school was she would tell me "We practiced for Grandparents Day!".

Finally last Friday the big day arrived. The Phi had 2 sets of grandparents and 1 set of great-grandparents come to her performance. The only bummer about Grandparents Day is that it is just for Grandparents. So all the talk I heard about practicing, listening to her hum the songs at home, all her excitement about the performance...

and I don't get to see it. Bummer.

But my Mom texted me this picture during the performance....

Then Joey and Lou and I meet up with everyone for lunch.

How lucky is The Phi. She has all 4 grandparents AND she has 7 great-grandparents in her life.
