Apology Letter

Dear Mom and Dad,

Please accept my deepest apologizes. See last week we took The Phi to her first concert ever. We took her to a New Kids on the Block concert. She had a good time. Too good of a time. Since then she has demanded to listen to the New Kids on the Block song "Single" over and over and over and over again. It has been only a few days but it is driving me slowly insane. Then I realized that this is a sick form of punishment. Punishment for 1989-1991, which I refer to as my "So in love with NKOTB I should have been committed" phase.

I cannot even being to imagine what you both went through being forced to listen to the Hanging Tough cassette blast through those giant stereo speakers I use to have, all day, everyday for years. I made you play it in the car and even forced you to make a music video at Universal Studios of the whole family singing and playing instruments to Hanging Tough. (Cari and Elaine, My bad) And Pops, I will never be able to pay you back for taking me and my cousins to the NKOTB concert at the forum. It must have been 2 hours of torture that you will never get back.

So please accept my apology and know that karma has taken care of punishing me. The Phi rode her tricycle and sang "The Right Stuff" for over an hour yesterday."

Love,
Elissa

P.S. Jessica if you are reading this I suggest you write your Mom and Dad a letter too before Elias finds an old tape also insist on listening to NKOTB 24/7. I am telling you that karma can be a real bitch.

Elias is NEVER getting a hold of those tapes! T.I. is more his style. He's a hip hopster thanks to his daddy. Thank god I have boys. . .

  4. Yep, paybacks are a bitch. I have to laugh at my daughters, now that their children are "giving it to them".

  5. Lucky for me my Guys listen to the same stuff I did in H.S. You have Tapes I still have the albums lol. I have 3 boys and each one tries to play their music louder than the other. Door #1 Suicidal T's, Door #2 Social D, Door #3 The Offspring. Sometimes it's all at the same time.
