Fires = Traffic

Today The Phi and I headed out for a 2 hour drive to my high school BFF's baby shower and what a great shower it was. We has planned to spend some time with my sister and the kiddos but as the fires began to multiple around us and as more and more freeways began to be shut down we decided to head home. It took us about 4 hours to get home. Lots of smoke and lots of cars. I know this happens here in California every year and there were a few times when they got close to home but it is always so awful scary and devestating to watch on the news. The winds are pretty bad here and that makes the fire just rage so quickly. We send prayers to all those who have lost their homes.
