Good Morning Aztlan

I have been starting my days with this song. In the morning when I get to my work desk I sip my coffee and listen to this song.

I love this band. My family loves this band. We even had a dog named Kiko, after their song "kiko and the lavender moon". Listening to this band reminds me of my Dad's band practicing in the garage, or going to a baile to watch him play. They remind me of my childhood. My Dad could have totally been in this band. I think part of the appeal too is that they look like really down guys. Like I could see them chilling at one of our family BBQ's. But the voice, of man that is one freakin awesome voice. And they are the epitome of a Chicano band. Their music is a blend of both Mexican and American and even African influences. Los Lobos' music makes me happy and makes me want to dance. What kind of music reminds you of your childhood?

Nice! Is that Los Lobos? They sound like them anyway. I like his voice too.

Hope you have a wonderful Friday!
