Dinosaur Mountains

Dinosaurs

This picture is from the area I grew up in. I grew up on the little ranch right in the middles of acres and acres of citrus and avocado orchards. It was a good place to grow up. This is a view the small mountains near the park we had the party at. Now I don't know if this was something my Mom told me, or something my little kid head made up, ( I was a big Land of the Lost fan) but I always am reminded of dinosaurs. I always imagined that when the dinosaurs died they laid where they fell and dirt and rocks covered them up, and then grass and tress grew. The mountains are brown in the winter and green in the summer. The slops of the mountains look like the legs and the tail of the fallen dinosaur. The bigger mountains the parents and the smaller mountains the kids. I always had the thought, "what if they are just sleeping and then all woke up one day?"

Reminds me of where the place I moved to when I was in the 11th grade. Where I met my hubby. It was an EXTREMELY small town. Nothing but mountains and fields. Big shock for me since I grew up in L.A. but I like it.

    I like your imagination. =)
