40 days and 40 Nights

So Lent started on Wednesday. All you Catholics out there know what I am talking about. That time of year when you give up something until Easter. Plus no meat on Fridays. Anyways PR Dad and I are repeating what we did last year, we are giving up fast food. It was much easier than we anticipated last year and it lasted much longer than the 40 days. It is always harder for PR Dad because he has to give up his breakfast jack. And well he doesnt cook for himself. So we went on a mega grocery shopping trip last night to stock up on good food for dinner, lots of lunch stuff, and of course vegetarian stuff for Fridays. This comes at a good time for me. I have stuck to my new years resolution and have been using my treadmill 4-5 times a week. I also invested in a exercise ball. One more big change has been that I eat breakfast everyday. See our roomie Matty is a dietary student and he preaches the importance of fiber. I finally listened to him and bought a box of All-Bran. A breakfast full of fiber. One bowl of All-Bran every morning. And you know what I do feel better.

So I cannot believe that its friday already. This week flew by.

  2. Last year my boyfriend decided to give up smoking during Lent season and it lasted until today!

I think this year we're going to stop eating red meat and eat in smaller portions.

I am having problems giving up chocolate, though. :D

Btw, I love your blog and your baby is gorgeous. Love her large, brown eyes!

  4. The american grill boca burgers are quite good. I love the black bean garden burgers also. Do you like tofu? There is a million ways to cook it and it takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it with.
