Chevys and Doggie Nightmares

So me and my ran over foot (I am so not letting this go) had a really good weekend. Got a lot of house work done. We had a visit and dinner with Matty and Sammy the Bull on Saturday night. That night was tough. The Phi has decided that she never wants to sleep at night ever again. Every night we put her to bed and she screams her head off. Sometimes for over an hour. It is awful and it is driving me insane. I dread bedtime. I sat in her room for like an hour so she wouldn't scream. Then when I finally get into bed Roo (PR dog) wakes up about 4am crying like he was in a lot of pain. Just completely freaking out! PR Dad turns on the light and I am trying to calm the dog down and hold his mouth shut so he doesn't wake up Screaming Beauty in the other room. He finally stopped yelping and he put his head under my arm and left it there for awhile. I checked him out to see if he was hurt and he wasn't. The only thing we could think of is that he had a nightmare. Do dogs dream?

Then on Sunday morning we headed out with Sammy the Bull. Our first stop was the Swap Meet. In a couple of months PR Dad and I are going to be adding Punk Rock Godparents to our resumes. We are baptizing Lili and I was so excited to buy her dress. I knew that I had to have a Virgen de Guadalupe on it. And the Swap Meet is the best place to find these silky frilly lacy, Virgen embroidered dresses. I found a beautiful one in her size and I can't wait to see her in it! Now we just need to figure out what we are going to do with her wild hair. PR Dad has suggested a faux-hawk. After the swap meet we grabbed a quick breakfast and then on to the main event. The Super Chevy Car Show! It was at the speedway and Sammy the Bull (who is a mechanic and L-O-V-E-S Chevy's) was super excited. We had a great time. We spent hours wandering the aisles and checking out a lot of really cool, show cars. Man those '64 Maibu's are so freakin' awesome. I would love to have one of those all decked out. We all had a good time but man it was hot! We stopped for ice cream on the way home and The Phi had her first cup of Coldstones (sorbet of course, no eggs for Phi), a quick Target trip for a new shower curtain (R.I.P Loteria shower curtain) and then we were home. But the fun did not stop there. My sister Elaine and Mickey stopped by to pick up her drum set that she finally sold.

Yes doggies have nightmares and dayscares! Apollo will have one every now and then where he's growling or whining in the middle of the night and we'll get up and check on him and he's sounds asleep- dork. We just call out his name, wake him up and then he goes back to sleep. Rocky had a dayscare during a nap in the middle of the afternoon the other day.
